OVERVIEW
News has emerged of a cyber security incident impacting a large essential
infrastructure service provider based in Australia and New Zealand, Ventia [1].
IMPACT
The impact is not yet known however Ventia reports they are working closely
with external cyber security experts, regulators and law enforcement [1].
Ventia also reports that they have contained the incident and taken their key
systems offline [1].
MITIGATION
Ventia will provide further updates to their stakeholders as their response to the
incident progresses [2].
AusCERT is monitoring the situation and will update this bulletin should any actionable
indicators of compromise be released, or other significant developments unfold.
